 Board Certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology and Pain Management Kulbir S. Walia, MD completed his Medical schooling in India and is board certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology and Pain Management. He completed his Anesthesiology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey in 1999, where he served as an Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Walia was also awarded an Excellence Award and judged as departmental role model for customer service during his residency. He followed this with a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore in 1999-2000 where he had the opportunity to interact and work under the guidance of several experts in the field of Pain Management. Prior to joining Metzger Staats Pain Management, he worked as a Private Pain Management Consultant in a very busy Practice in Pennsylvania for about eight years. Dr. Walia specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of patients who suffer from chronic neck and back pain and has a particular interest in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and Cancer Pain Management. He treats painful conditions using a combination of conservative and interventional measures. He is a member of American Academy of Pain Management and has contributed to the field of Pain Management through his various studies and publications. |
